NOTE*- There is no way to know when a pair will conceive; although rats are very fertile animals and get pregnant easily. If rats take longer to get pregnant be prepared for date changes.
NOTE*- There is also no way of knowing how many babies will be born; although they normally have good size litters. Because breeding is unpredictable I don’t have waiting lists for individual pairing. I have a general waiting list where everyone interested in a rat or rats will be placed on, in order of when they contacted me. As babies are born the waiting list will be contacted by e-mail.

A General Waiting list: This is the list in order of people that are still waiting for their rats: If you get on the list that is shortest (Male or female) you will get your rat sooner. The longer the list, the longer the wait. Also if these list’s look long, never assume you will be waiting forever. I have people pass their turn to get rats all the time but stay on my waiting list. Some people are looking for the specific coloring or ear type. Some have to wait and pass because of unexpected situations in their life. Then there is a lot of people below that never reply to my emails. It could be a number of things, so don’t shy away from the list, just fill out an adoption form and get your pet rats asap.

What will change my mind about breeding a pair…
- If I feel these rats won’t improve the breed.
- If nobody is on their waiting list.
- If the previous litter’s are still not adopted out; the future litters will be put on hold.
- If there is unexpected circumstances.
Definition of TGR waiting list:
If you get on a waiting list, you will have a chance to get a baby rat. The waiting list gets first priority over people that are not on the list.
Being on a waiting list does not reserve you a baby. The waiting list just gives you a chance to pick a baby. You will have your opportunity to reserve your baby when they are 3 weeks old, by sending a non-refundable payment after seeing pictures of the litter and choosing the one you want. If you are next on the waiting list to pick a baby you have a choice to either pick the babies I have available or pass your turn to wait for later litter you may desire more. (You do NOT lose your spot in line if you choose to pass and wait for different baby!)
If you choose not to reserve your baby by their 5 week old birthday then you will be taken off the waiting list and your baby will be first come first serve.
